My bike got wet

Was out for a ride tonight and came across a burst water main, could not really avoid it so straight through it,
it means i have to carres my new bike, er i mean dry it of, lol

Must be time of the year as that happenned to me yesterday. About 100 yards of road under a film of water. At least it cleaned my muddy tyres.

I hear some of these new bikes melt away overnight if not dried very quickly.

Take it down to A&E sharpish. They will probably keep it in overnight for observation.

whats the deal with carbon and water? why do people dry them off? i mean shouldn't it be able to take a bit of water?

one burst water main i remember from being a kid, we dared each other to cycle through it with our bmx's it was spraying a good 20-30ft in the air this thing, we were getting old recycle bin lids (the old box type) and sitting on the spray and having it lift us off the ground, m8 almost broke his ankle but we had a blast.
