Sorry you fell over and were hurt.
Some of life is just accidental. Do we always have to be looking for perpetrators and victims?
The altruistic attitude would be to inform the gym there has been an accident, so that further mishaps don’t occur. Diving straight to the lawyers could be premature: you haven’t yet, it appears, allowed the gym to apologise, compensate or explain and remediate.
We all share some responsibility to make the world a better place. Most folk in service jobs - be it a gym or a hospital - are doing their very best.

You do seem a bit accident prone, Accy.

Didn't you want to sue a clubmate after you ran into the back of him on a run a few years ago?

Why should I ? Surely they should be contacting me to see how I am. What could I say to them if I did contact them?" Hi. Just letting you know I'm holding you to blame and you'll be hearing from my brief". No,it's best to hang fire and see if they contact me. Knowing them they won't though. They probably think/hope i'll just walk in on Monday evening and say " Ah forget it,it was just one of those things".
Why should you?

Maybe you need to know if an accident report has been completed and how you can get a copy of it.
Possibly to tell them what action you intend to take. Really to get some dialogue going.

I have a feeling this will end up going nowhere.

A member of staff filled an accident form in just after it'd happened. I signed the form.

Yes and why not?! He just rode off and left me on the floor! He didn't even have the decency to phone me after to see how I was! His actions ended my self employed window cleaning days. I heard he got knocked off himself about a year ago and ended up having to give up cycling. I think they call it karma.

Edit..He didn't run into the back of me by the way. He just decided to topple over and use me as an air bag!

Yes wonderful sentiment there, but how does that help me? I know that that gym will not contact me at all! They'll be thinking that contacting me incriminates themselves.

Your life is so full of incident that you are either desperately unlucky or you're a bit of a drama queen.

I haven't been on this forum very long, but from the short time i've been on here you seem to have a problem with cruiser motorcycle riders, neighbours, your housing association, hospital staff, taxi drivers and now your gym. Your life seems to be constantly involved with having issues with other people, organisations and professions.
Have you ever thought about asking yourself, is it them.... or is it really me ?

Just painting a different perspective, is all. Real joy in this world comes when you stop thinking about yourself, and focus on others. Getting riled up and looking for blame wont heal your bruises: the increased stress may add to your woes.
