Mama's got her eggs well tucked in, papa is on chimney patrol again. Breezy and grey but the Met believe the sun will put on a matinée show later.

Good morning from an occasionally bright, but mostly dull, breezy and chilly Suffolk. Coffee has been had and breakfast will follow shortly.

There's nothing that needs to be done today, so I may spend a little while picking the small weeds out of the front garden border.

Second cuppa went down well with a slice of toasted granary bread with just margarine spread over it .

Just removed 6 empty bread bags from the bread bin .

We keep a few empty breadbags as we tend to split loaves in half to freeze them as we don't use lots of bread so they'll be stale if we leave a whole one out.

That's exactly what we do.

They also make a good waterproof layer between shoes and socks once empty of course
