Ow'd he know it were you in.

had to look that one up!

The phrase "Ow'd he know it were you in" is a slightly archaic or dialectal way of asking "How would he know it was you inside?" It suggests a situation where someone is hidden or concealed, and the question is about how the person outside would come to know who is inside. The "Ow'd he know" construction is a contracted form of "How would he know"

guessing you don't really need an answer

It's been a warmish and occasionally sunny day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well, but have been feeling bleurgh. My get-up-and-go has gotten up and buggered off. As a result, I have had a quiet day, spent watching the snooker and writing. Sometimes it's just good to step back and have some quiet time.

Had a lovely luncheon of wholemeal toast, the last of the coronation chicken, plus fruit and a :cuppa:

Now having cuddles with the cat.

Uncooked potato is poisonous to birds.

News to me. I've seen first hand the mess crows can make of field of potatoes. I wouldn't have thought they'd pick at them and pull them out of the drills if they were poisonous.

It was a nice morning when I was walking to work. This lulled me into a false sense of security.

I got absolutely drookit walking home and was able to pour water out of my shoes! :rain:

Thankfully the company provided laptop bag seems to be waterproof. I always have this paranoia of getting it soaked.

I see a few buses of touroids have landed at one of the hotels. They're not getting great weather for it.

Back home with a severe case of 'can't be ar5ed'.

Something like 6000+ steps (around 3 miles) into and around sunny & warm Leeds city centre this morning followed by sitting on trains watching the world go by and catching up with a few podcasts. The relaxed attitude continued when I got home as I should have popped out and got something for tea, but instead a mug of coffee was had, faffage ensued and I ended up just doing cheese on toast. Since then i've just slumped in the armchair with a combination of the radio, a re-run of Sunday's GP & the football.

I like days like this.
