Toasted sandwich needed for lunch as I was still chilly from the brief outdoor excursion this morning.
Decided on a walk and headed into the easterly before finding shelter in a northerly direction
Plan was to head south along a footpath I have only gone north on.
Seeing a public footpath sign sooner than I expected I ended up on a completely different path which eventually nicely followed alongside a beck before less pleasantly dumping me at the exit from B&Q/Aldi on one day there was virtually no car movements bar the odd one not aware they were shut. 3.26 miles

Mrs O uses large bag clips to tether the quilt in a couple of corners while she sorts the rest out

Easier than that is insert the top 2 corners and grasp firmly then give it a vigorous shake and flap (even better if done over a balcony so it hangs) not only does this get the cover on but it fluffs up the quilt nicely......................A trick taught me by my Finnish girlfriend.

Done quite a few jobs this weekend, all part of the recovery. Lopped a number of trees, and munched them in the muncher, washed 3 cars and hoovered out two, then this morning has been cutting the laurels back just as they are about to sprout and grow like crazy. Will need to keep on top of them. Lawns also cut.

finger bandage came off a day early, so I re-wrapped it. looks like I have 4 stitches. with a thinner wrap I can use a disposable glove to scramble eggs. looking forward to gaining full use of my right hand

same to you. our family used to do a big family gathering at my Mother's house. that was a nice stretch of years

I would normally be working today. getting extra pay & some free food in the break room. but I took the day off due to minor hand surgery last week. so a free day. almost don't know what to do

I've been for a walk and I'm now home and warming up again. It's surprisingly nippy out.

finally got the app for the car working fully, i can now lock/unlock it , put the air con and defrost it all from my phone and i get alerts if its left unlocked etc .

I ended up doing a late morning/early afternoon quick (for me) ride for a couple of hours on the best bike. Trying out a new pair of leggings to replace some old Ronhill Bikesters and I certainly wouldn't use them without either a base layer tucked in or a long backed jersey as they just don't go high enough at the back.

Since the post ride coffee, sausage roll, shower & shave, I've done the sum total of sod all except laze on the sofa for a couple of hours with the WEC racing from Imola on the TV in the background and catching up with the news & CycleChat on the Chromebook. At some point soon I'd better get off my backside and cook something for tea.

wow, Spring cleanup eh?

Just a little - garden looking great after MrsF planted a number of spring flowering flowers when I was a bit indisposed with my hip. Not back on the bike, but pushing myself doing the clean up. Worse was the extending chain saw (one on a pole) - my right shoulder is very sore after three months on crutches, so holding a 'chainsaw' out on a 2m pole to trim some trees was hard work (heavy). It's a great device, and very safe for trimming branches off. I've got big mains chainsaw (that you have to be wary of) and a handheld battery one which is a little beastie, but much safer than the big one.
