Looking forward to getting a few miles in and a few jobs sorted over the long weekend

Secured the gig ticket not long after they went on sale this morning, booked the hotel and then got on the bike and buggererd off to Norfolk where lunch & drinks were had before getting the train home. It was a bit chilly when I set off and the wind was mostly west to north west when it was forecast to be south to south west when I planned the route which was essentially straight up. Sitting in the sun, sheltered from the wind and with cold drinks was most pleasant though.
Just needed to find Coffee Road to go with this...

A while ago, I wanted to catch a train from Northampton to Berkhamstead so I could ride back..
It was cheaper to buy a single ticket to London, Euston, on a train that passed through there than a single ticket to Berkhamstead and not complete the journey.

I've had that a few times, the latest being on Monday: Bury St. Edmunds - Felixstowe £9.15 single or £7.00 return thanks to a promotional offer.

Today's 73 plate truck has 313382 kilometres on the odometer and has taken me nowhere yet.

struggling to get the app to link to the new car , followed all the instructions etc and its supposed to set a PIN which it didnt and connect via a qr code but it doesn’t either .
every time i start the car its in guest mode and i cant add another profile.
of course the helpline is shut till tuesday

Good morning from a bright, partly cloudy and breezy corner of Suffolk. Coffee has been had slightly late due to a lie in.

Once I've finally got going and had a shower and shave, I need to get out and do some food & snack shopping ahead of Saturday's day out Monday's away day. After yesterday's exertions, this may be done by ebike to give my legs a rest.

When I bought my current car I had to go back to the dealer to get it activated before I could get the app to work. I've no idea why technology needed a 20 mile round trip to get it switched on. Perhaps there's some security concerns. If the car's new, has it been activated? Or if it's new to you, did the previous owner use it?
