Update on the self setting analogue clock. Discovered after setting itself to GMT it has a think and changes to BST and running two minutes late.
Had to walk commute to and from WAH today as the car went to have its front two badly corroded brake pipes replaced. The contents of the car in the front room; heading to collect I stepped on a bag with the a crunching noise to heard. Transpired it was the glass of the solar battery charger. Thats now wrapped in cling film, its years old so I suspect a new one was long overdue.
Car back home I decided to resolve the rear lifting shelf over the hatchback boot on which the fitting clip has been missing and it keeps staying lifted. Use of a drill into the shelf and the lug onto which it should fit and an old shoe lace has done the job.

I went to school in Headingley but I don’t remember anywhere called the Golden Beam.
Right hand side of Otley Road after Skyrack and Original Oak.It was a girls school i think Lupton was the name or something. The Golden Beam in Headingley, Leeds, is a Grade II listed building, originally a Christian Science church built in 1912, later used as the Elinor Lupton Centre (a theatre) by Leeds Girls' High School, and now a Wetherspoo

Anyway today was fine weather.Meal in the Beam was three bangers and mash with gravy, peas were rock hard so i left them.Sadly only darlk ale i could find was Rigwellter, not bad but did not have a second pint.So home on the bus and set about the security gate and door frame looks well for first coat.Going to give it two coats of gloss Saturday and Sunday. All is well, and some Ruby Red Ale from Aldi is cooling in the fridge as i type.

A gorgeous warm and sunny day, albeit one where the warmth was tempered by a very stiff and cool north-easterly breeze.

Slept so-so. Had a kitchen morning. Prepped the tired Seville orange and two tangerines to make a jar of marmalade, made a big batch of muesli for the parental's breakfasts and loaded and locked the crock pot for tonight's supper.

Had a lovely luncheon of two slices of toast, one with the last of the hummus, one with brie, plus an apple, a banana and two :cuppa:

This afternoon I had some "me time" which meant taking myself off for an hour and a half's bimble in the company of Maximillian the MTB. I really enjoyed being out, even if that breeze made it really hard work at times.

Now sat enjoying a nice :cuppa:

It's been a fully occupied day - once I got going that is. Starting with putting the washing out on the whirlygig, mopping the kitchen floor, out on an extended bike ride for food shopping (in shorts & short sleeved top!), washing back in and put away as it was dry, yet another going over of the lawns with the scarifyer and then the mower and finally back out shopping for more orange squash which I didn't have room for on the first run.

I sill need to sort out the food & drink for the next couple of days trackside but first up this evening will be a little treat to myself - there were four grapefruit on yellow label at 14p each and it's a messy job segmenting them, but I've ended up with two large bowls worth.

Oh yeah, and last night, I found an egg-sized lump on my arse.

Inspection with a mirror revealed that something had bit / stung me through my jeans while I was lumberjilling. After taking some extra antihistamines, it's now gone down to the size of a pea. Doesn't hurt, just looks a bit disconcerting.

This is one of those things where pictures are most definitely NOT required!
