Yesterday Middle Son received his Realschule (high school) graduation certificate and the teacher handing them out announced from the stage that he also has a Belobigung or "commendation for achievement".
I'm well proud of him: he's managed this despite the best efforts of the school system.
Now he's off to do a year at a youth holiday centre which includes training to be a climbing instructor...

I've just had a Nepali meal. Chicken Chhoila, though heaven knows how you pronounce 2 consecutive hs. Very very nice though. And thirst making.
