I have cycled twice today!

A circuit of the bye ways of Kent.
Followed by a pootle to Whitstable. Where di all those common people come from?
Found a very nice ice cream establishment. Staffed by the prettiest young ladies.
Can HE say that?

Gelateria, worth seeking out. Excellent coffee an reportedly very fine hot chocolate
Cheated and squandered a bit more than £6 for the pair of us to return on the train.

I've been there. I'm no great ice cream consumer but the person I was with was impressed. Good coffee though.

Very hilly ride today and have to repeat it in the opposite direction tomorrow. I sometimes wonder why I took up cycle touring as hobby!

Weather was amazing up until the last couple of miles when the heavens opened. I can hear the rain still on the velux window.

I had to take avoiding action due the rider of a Honda 70 that drifted across the road on a corner on a narrow road. If you can't handle a vintage 70cc bike, perhaps motorcycling is not for you.

74 mile ride yesterday on the hike/bike trails, slow due to the high temperature - 87F - and the humidity - 90% - and the 20MPH wind, so 140 miles for the week. Had planned for a 100 mile ride tomorrow out in the sticks but considering the same conditions will apply and lack of water outlets in the country hamlets, it maybe the trail again, but not on a Sunday when all the usual 'haven't a clue how to share a cycle path' crowd will be out, so Monday then - with an early start to beat the heat. Cyclists in Britain with cool weather are so fortunate.

Fabby supper of bacon, egg, bubble & squeak (with kale & broccoli) and a tomato salad :hungry:

The snooker is also serving up a treat.

It may be sunny but it's still quite chilly here near the east coast thanks to the breeze coming in off the cold North Sea. Just about got away with shorts & a short sleeved top on the bottle bank & shopping trip this morning, while the afternoon ride was a little warmer as I headed inland.

This evening's hot chocolate has just been had, having been made once I'd finished preparing the food & drink for Sunday's day out.

You out cycling in Essex then?
