Fabby supper of beef & vegetable soup (with barley), then ox heart casserole, dumplings, mash and steamed sprouts. :hungry:

Apologies in advance if there's a bit of a gale blowing come the morning...

having my 2 o'clock coffee at 3 o'clock. is the sky falling?

The sky has probably rescheduled by an hour.

@Jenkins & @Illaveago - my bid was above the highest estimate but with a 27% fee on top the £120 sale price would have been approx. £150. Still probably worth it given the hub dynamo.

In these cases it all depends on how determined a bidder is on winning.
I did it on an Optolyth spotting scope at an auction. Estimate £45. I had to wait a long time for it to come up and during that time I was getting more and more wound up . I was muttering under my breath as people kept picking it up to examine it. When it came to the auction I was locked in a bidding war but I was determined to win. I won it for £150. I got it in the neck when I got home from SWMBO. When I showed her how much they were going for on the net she relented. Over £400. It is good. I managed to see the Space Station go over once hand held and could see the solar panel array, it looked a bit like the old TV aerials.

My first day of my long weekend. It was a bit of an action-packed one. I went out for a perambulation and brought my weekly fry up forward a day as well as doing some grocery shopping whilst I was perambulating.

I did some tidying up and then sat and read for a bit before venturing out for a ride. Fiftyish miles completed, my first half century of the year ( I won't count the Navan Greenway as it's pancake-flat. Today's ride had lots of hills). I feel motivated to get fit again and see room for improvement; but I got round.

I then had my usual Friday pie and chips before going to the theatre again (well a different theatre in a different town from last night. Car required tonight). Their drama festival is on and I hope to get to see a few of the plays. I always enjoy this event.

Tut, tut, tut, you neglected to say what shape your plate was! It *is* a matter of extreme importance, you know...
