It's been a cold, blustery , foggy and latterly, rainy day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept quite well. Last night's session with the massage machine thingy seems to have helped. Had a choresy morning, including handwashing some things that were either a) too delicate to put in the washing machine and b) needed to be soaked and scrubbed prior to consigning to general laundry. I also prepared a butternut squash for roasting, as it was showing signs of not keeping terribly well i.e. soft spots on the rind.

I will highly recommend the cheese to my fellow Mundaners. It's from Tesco's finest range, and unlike a lot of fruited cheeses, this one is not overly sweet.

Had intended on combining a bicycular bimble with picking up the parental's prescription. Kitted up and took Maximillan the MTB with the intention of using the back roads where the hedgerows would shelter me somewhat from what was a pretty biting Northerly. I got about a mile and a half down that route before it became totally impassable. Not just washboard surfaces thanks to tractor tyres, but huge knee-deep holes full of water and mud that kind of disappeared what passes for a trackway. So I gave up and bailed out.

Five minutes after getting back home, the heavens opened. Talk about dodging a bullet! And no, the rain *wasn't* forecast for here.

So out of cycling kit and into jeans and jumper and took the car to Littleport instead. By the time I got to the quack, it was raining so hard that you could barely see where you were going!

I have repaired MrsF's heated gilet. The usb socket was poor quality and just wasn't reliably connecting to the battery pack. Quick look on-line and you can get replacement USB connectors with 'screw' connections (solderless). Works a treat.
