It is my intention to cycle today.
Though not yet.

Yes, well don't tell anyone your plans.

Management has decreed I need tidying up. Translates as a haircut.
I am Shorn and Trimmed, a well known bunch of Medway Towns solicitors.

Still no cycling. My brain is being reprogrammed DOWN for new ambient operating temperature range.
But a load of venison mince spag bog style is in the slow cooker. Complete with Chinese mushrooms. Fusion cuisine
No carrots!

Was my head always this lumpy under the hair?

Trivia stuff

Fitzroy, was head of the navy weather's bit.
There's a sea area named after him - out in the deep Atlantic

He was the captain of The Beagle, a boat that wandered the world gathering knowledge.

The Beagle was the ship Darwin ( Evolution of the Species) sailed on to gather the information he used to write his work.

But, Fitzroy was a phrenologist?
Studies bumps in your head and draws conclusions about your ability and personality.
Anyway, he would not take Darwin, or it seems anyone, until he had felt their bumps. That was his story.
This was just one part of my Masters submission 60 years ago.
Whether Darwin nicked the idea from someone else is quite another matter. My supervisor and I disagreed. I wanted to pass and compromised with dome nearly mouthed evasion.

Frosty start and a need for a coat to hang the washing out.
Warmed up but still a nip so a hooded cycling jacket for the ebikes first visit of 2025 to the bike stands at Sainsbury's and Waitrose. The latter again neccessary due to continuing fish shortage in the former, although they did have unsmoked mackeral.

Rat running traffic due to the road works made for congestion in some unusual places and I made a rare homeward use of the cycle route east of the A61. Not something to do again quickly as it involves a right turn onto a shared path and the road surface on the approach is dreadful meaning only limited scope to indicate the turn.
