As I don't drink anymore, I don't go to the pub either, which is a shame, I used to like Maggies, but it seems wrong, socially, to go in and nurse a cranberry juice and a shepherd's pie all night.

Best put your cider in with the chops.Cheers
I've just had a Katy cider with my pork chop dinner.
I brown the chops in a pan, take them out and sweat a shallot in the juices. Return the chops to the pan with some cider, season then cover and simmer for 10 mins. Take out the chops to rest, add a splash of double cream and simmer to reduce. Served with mash and veg, yum.
The best bit is the chef gets to polish off the spare cider.
