If it is Tomato soup then it could be a reminder of the old addage

'Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit
Wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad'.

And yes, I know it wont be 'real' tomatos.
Nope.. It's masquerading as 'Golden Vegetable', though I doubt it's ever seen an actual vegetable during its manufacture!!

I'm back from my ride. 23 miles in some glorious sunshine

See any kingfishers?

I am also back from my ride. just under 10km! knackered now.

Less mundane news - community physio have finally rung me. They want to come out and see me today, but she couldn't give a precise time. I did point out that being confined to bed (when not cycling ) that I wasn't going anywhere, so anytime will be fine!

10k - that's great. You are building up the distance well
yeh - morphine and paracetamol required plus a lie down afterwards. It was probably too far but I will try to maintain that distance rather than cut it back. Its a natural turning around point for something with a turning circle of a barge... well it feels like that, but in reality it is not that bad. Now resting up waiting for physio to arrive and thinking to myself how bl**dy much I am hurting. Still I enjoyed it and it got me out of the house for 90 minutes!

Presumably along the road. OH & I managed 4.8 miles along the canal towpath which has strategically placed lumps of concrete sitting proud of the general level by about 4-5 cm. The sun was shining through the branches creating deep pools of shadow so it required concentration! The fall of the canal seems much more noticeable on a bike.

Sainsbury's basic pizza with added pineapple, peperami and lots of cheeese. Also got tomorrows lunch out of the freezer, I'll leave you to guess that.

Ah, the railway line. My son, who lives in Sandbach, took us along a similar stretch (salt line?). There's a similar stretch near us, but neither of us are really confident on the roads to get there yet.
Confdence will come with practice. The roads around here are not that bad tbh and yep - that's part of the Salt Line. I know it & Sandbach well. Used to be part of my regular commute (3 times a week) until my back went in November. Really good Waitrose store there as well, much better than the Northwich branch. Health food shop is good but a tad expensive. there is a better one in Alsager which is where the Salt Line ends up. If you follow it, it then joins the canal and eventually with a couple of back lanes joins the other end of the Salt Line which leads in to the side of Alsager. Some really nice back lanes between Sandbach and Alsager as well.
