I've just found out I'm going to be a great auntie

I became a great uncle two years ago. It's quite fun
I'm only 42... I think the mother is still in her late teens. I am pretty certain that my nephew hadn't yet made it to 21... apparently I took the news much better than the other to be great aunt did! Still whilst they are young and healthy... Might just force him to get his head in gear and get a job with a future...

Mrs R's niece had three kids by the time she was 21 - her husband (same age) has never had a job. My brother in law pays the rent and buys their food.
Yep, just thinking back and realising I was pregnant at 19 as well! oh well maybe that was why I simply congratulated my b-i-l on becoming a grandfather rather than the colourful language he got from another b-i-l's wife!

Holbrookes is looking decidedly wintry tonight.

Just spent 20 minutes cleaning an Irish wolf hound's backside. Crap matted into the fur after several days of an upset stomach... Scissors, gloves, and lots of water were involved as well as a lot of antibacterial hand gel.

I am so glad he is a) very well behaved b) now clean again c) only whimpered slightly (his skin is red and inflamed ) and d) I have a really seriously strong stomach. The pile was  huge...

Now needing fresh air followed by a shower... xx(

It snowed.

All of about 1cm which had been melting since before 5am... Booooo
