Just polished off our lamb shanks

been in the oven all afternoon.....

Our shanks were perfect, the meat fell off the bone, the sauce was smooth and glossy with loads of flavour. The carrots were just cooked with a slight bite, the brocolli soft of stem but still holding together at the crown and the mash was velvety and buttery.

@Patrick Stevens and not show you the proof because in my haste to get at it I neglected to take a picture.
Lu doesn't know it yet, but I've pencelled her in for all Sunday meals from now on.
