Are you on what Led Zep were on when they wrote that song?

My list writing this morning appears not have been a roaring success according to the last text messages from Mrs ID at the supermarket...
'Do we need more coffee?'
'Oh sorry, yes...'
....
'Do we need cheddar cheese?'
'Oh, um sorry...yes..'
...
'Did you want Spring Onions to do that Thai dish tonight?'
'Oh...ummmm..yes..'
...
'Shall I do the list in future...'
:headshake:

Its one of the better covers I've heard

PS to the above post #6786....i'm leaving the Marathon Racer, fully inflated, on the now-bust rear wheel, until the new one is unpacked and laid alongside. I can then hope that the M Racer won't have time in the 2 minutes between deflation and fitting to the new rim to shrink by the 1mm necessary to make refitting a life-changing experience. I can only hope that I can sneak up on it and it won't notice.....:ninja:

I can now report definitely mundane news.

The M Racer is on and the wheel refitted, with a new 12-36 cassette.

Tried Velox rim tape for the first time as the LBS did not have the plastic type I normally use. Was a bit worried as they only had the 19mm version and the tape lapped very slightly onto the landing where the bead sits - but only just and in only a few places. If the tyres were really tight this might be a showstopper. But, the M Racer refitting was as easy as any tyre I've ever fitted - two thumbs, moderate pressure, no application of Anglo Saxon vocabulary. I think it was the array of 'frighteners' I'd lined up, Var tool, Park tool, a couple of steelies. Pumped it up to 80 psi and the bead slid into place, nice even sit on the rim.

Very wide braking surface on these Rigida rims - and put my Koolstops back on instead of the Tektros - the ones that did not get on with the original Jalco rear - and yet the front is a real showstopper.

So, nothing to report, carry on.

The vet has given the irish wolf hound squirt machine something to stop it squirting yellow everywhere...

Some blue food colouring so that the squirts will blend in with the grass would have been a cheaper alternative.
