Good morning all

I am wide awake, TVC is snoozing, breakfast isn't served until 8am. Not sure what to have today, Friday was scrambled egg, smoked salmon and chorizo, yesterday was a full English. Don't want too much today because we are driving home so not a good idea to sit in the car for over 3 hours with a full tum.

You're all softies!! Come to Whitstable- they don't eat anything but oysters!! ( some of them are a bit odd!!)

They have a whole festival for them, very odd but usually a good choice of beer available so there is an upside.

Nope, they were first class, as were the scallops, the steak and the creme brulee. The wines and baileys were pretty good too.

Just got back from a 7 mile hike with the dog. (Hike rather than walk since not all the local farmers keep the footpaths on their land clear. Legs on fire after one stretch that gave me the choice of nettles, hedge or electric fence. I opted for the former but think the latter would have stung less.) Walked past the village shop on the homeward leg and accidentally bought strawberries and clotted cream ice cream as compensation.

My cheapo bike computer goes bonkers when it's near the laptop. I was transferring mileage to a spreadsheet at an average of 30mph in my armchair this morning.

I had to put the lights on when i got up at 4am, haven't had to do that for a while.
