Hill Wimp

Fair weathered, fair minded but easily persuaded.
Double doggy trouble....

We're looking after Bou (Jack's girlfriend) whilst her owner is away for a few days. It may try the relationship a little as they both like cuddles and don't like sharing.
Separate rooms I hope

Was the vacuum bag really that exciting?
It was.

I really can't top that.

I have just listened to the Trump/Clinton debate whilst crocheting another scarf.

Beware Hills, crocheting is a slippery slope.

My girls are not impressed. I found another 3 eggs (all from separate chooks) in a new nest under the house yesterday and with a mate around when I am eggs missing, I need to find them (though none of the girls sit on the nest for long, I don't want to encourage them!).

I can't go crawling under the house, so I have left them in the outer enclosure (and chook house and inner enclosure as well) and not opened the gate today. 3 have lain in the nesting boxes where they should though Harriet Houdini did her usual and found out that she can't lay in that spot now, then I went and had a long look at her and she walked back to the gate to be let back into the outer enclosure (she can get in there by herself but...). The mother hen, a 6 year old who is huge and has a tendency to lay in an open nest rather than nesting boxes, is currently going spare (yet again). She will eventually lay in the nest she has in the chook house (old stable block) after she has tried covering herself in leaves, twigs and pieces of straw but in the meantime I am getting a verbal ear bashing which I can hear through the closed windows. She is pacing the perimeter (the area measures roughly 20m by 10m) and then going back to look at the nesting boxes. She can get into them quite easily but until she lays in there, I'm not letting them out. I hurt too much to go crawling under the house again today. I do wish she would get on with it. I think the others wish she would get on with it as well.
