23 miles and managed to not get rained on. Mr Hop and cycling partner went out at the same time but in a different direction and got soaked apparently

I didn't go for a bike ride because it is the taster session at the velodrome later.
However we did have fish and chips by the tracks at Ramsbottom and watched a couple of trains.

Amazingly I am up to date with this for a change, usually I record a whole series before starting to watch it.

Scully likes her swimming, and apart from it being like an extended version of casualty it's a bit so so up to now.

I have been to The Heart of the Shires many times, but I didn't know that was there . A trip is required in a couple of weeks I think.

You need to write a guide book "Dave's Little Book of Decent Cafes in the East Midlands".

I keep the rides I upload to Ride With GPS public so if anyone wants to use the route for their own rides they can. Wilton Locks is just off the A5 a couple of miles before you get to The Heart Of The Shires.

Fabulous walk on Exmoor under bright blue skies, then an absolutely massive plate of Sunday dinner. Stuffed to the gills. Tonight's lamb stew can be eaten tomorrow.

Happy anniversary, @Lullabelle and @The Velvet Curtain , many happy returns of the day. The Star Trek is probably the best of the new lot. I would place it somewhere below Wrath of Khan, but better than The Undiscovered Country. So that puts it at about The Voyage Home level, I would guess.

It was big, loud, a lot of fighting, explosions and a lot to follow but I loved it. Poignant and a bit sad in places but well worth it

I followed Jason Bourne's example and cut my wife's hair. I must say that it turned out alright in the end.

The grand children popped round this afternoon, and as usual the cats disappeared, they didn't know that we had two cats as they would rush off and hide as soon as they heard them arrive. The youngest, my grand daughter managed to spot the white kitten hiding under a chair, I then asked her to look for the black one as the kitten is black and white.
