Still no thunder here yet but it has gone very gloomy, don't think it's far away.

Don't tell rocky but I'm having a jam doughnut with my afternoon cuppa.

Pitch black here too, but for some reason reminds me that I saw a juvenile green woodpecker in the garden yesterday, hunting for food...

... in the lawn...!

Must still be learning to peck trees.

Yup, still thundering here.
Washed sheets this morning after having visitors at the weekend, and hung them out to dry.
Was just getting them in when there were a few spits of rain - so for once the washing came in before the rain started.

You haven't left the visitor's on the line have you?

Didn't quite time my afternoon journey correctly... So a bit more rain but not enough to put on a coat, just enough to make you cycle faster!

I conceded defeat and put on a coat during this morning's downpour. First time in months. It would have been a better plan if I'd remembered that as well as being boil in the bag, it's no longer waterproof.

Snipe's not normally bothered by thunder but she came rushing over for a cuddle earlier, having been woken up by what sounded like the roof caving in.

Plenty more cuddles since then. She's not having a good afternoon.

I was just using a pair of old Gilbow tinsnips and the handles snapped shut and pinched my waist, I have now got two marks like a vampire has attacked me. What sadistic person designed the handles to attack the user?
