We've had a lovely day in Beaumaris, we spent the morning in the unfinished castle, had lunch in Popeye's cafe and spent the afternoon in the old jail, which is open as a tourist attraction.

I think I ended up on about 45 miles. The old guy who passed by as we were parting, well Geofry and I cycled back to Whitfield together, understandably very slow, he must have been in his 70's. I left him there and sped of towards Canterbury but thought better of it and turned down at Coldred which gave me the chance to answer that question from earlier, I did 44mph down the Lyden hill on the Whyte.

Anyway, lets tell everyone what they want to know.....

....we averaged 8.5mph today, that means that at some hairy moments we were going even faster than that...

A good day.

Edit to say that Geofry was at 55 miles when I met him at Walmer and he still had to go Dover >Canterbury > Chartham....another 30 odd miles. chapeau
