I've been looking at train tickets for a day out in Oxford. The round trip would only take four hours on the train, an hour on the bus and an hour's walk to and from the bus stop...
Does that count as doable? I only live 20 miles from Oxford but I rarely go. I tend to go to MK or Wycombe

Morning, it was a busy day yesterday having to take the old guinea pig to the vet's, he was old and we think he may have had a stroke. We then spent a lot of time taking stuff to the recycling centre. We've decided not to have any more caged pets, although I wish I could put the little monster in one right now.
Sorry to hear that, though I do agree about caged pets.

The problem is that the way out Harriet Houdini had been using is up a supporting fence section for the gate which holds a stand pipe for the bore water and the very heavy gate (Red eucalyptus is very heavy wood). This leads into what would naturally be the fenced area for the veg plot. We even have the fencing purchased and ready to go in but now can't see the point (not to mention my OH's inability to make gates!) sadly there are at least 2 places where this will happen just because of the design of the place.
Covering the veggies may be my only option but there are a lot to cover and I can't currently see how I can with the way the beds are. thinking cap need!
