I'm eating bread and cheese in Kettle Falls, WA

So, I went for an evening pedalic amble along the Thames to take the air, as you do on a warm evening, and stumbled into an international fixed gear criterium by the O2. A rather harassed and red nosed steward asked me to walk because the course just about closed off the cycle route. Also, there'd also been 3 crashes, including a suspected broken neck, so I think he was a little shell shocked.

Anyhow, a rather ''bling a friend'' event. All the gear yet no gears. Lots of choice bikes around thobut. I felt particularly retro on the tourer.

And, in the middle of the women's criterium, I got cold so came home via the Dog and Bell where I had a black lager, a drink that I didn't even know existed until a rather large bumble bee landed on my arm at the bar. Thinking it was a scarab beetle, I brushed it off and it then did several turns of the pub bumping into every transparent or light surface before landing and walking under my stool to the foot of the bar. I think it's dead because it didn't move while I drank my black lager.

A great few hours at the Tewkesbury Medieval Festival yesterday ! Loads and loads of people there, forsooth.

Good lord, the neighbours are firing up the BBQ. It's only just stopped raining.

In other news, the cake isn't quite set so I'm giving it another 5 minutes. I have also made broccoli and blue cheese soup using home grown broccoli. Lets hope I found all the caterpillars before I put the veg in.

I don't mind doing sport, it's just watching others do it, I'm not particularly fond of

If it involves a ball, other than throwing it for the dog which is entirely a different matter, it's boring.

It certainly wasn't, after 2 slices each I can confirm it tastes as good as it looks

No I'm leaving them to it, the paint and filler are now both in use but they are moving onto sorting out the washing machine filter.... Even if I didn't like tennis it would be better than that!

Edit from the sounds from that side of the room TV is definitely better!
