Potsy hurt my feelings earlier, do you think I should claim compensation. He keeps calling my car yellow when everybody can see it's Volcanic Orange, this has affected me deeply and I don't know how long it will be before I have the self confidence to climb a ladder again.

I have been to see Benjamin as he isn't allowed out just yet and is a bit bored (when he's not being picked on). He hopped on my knee for a cuddle and pecked a couple of bits of summat off me very gently. He is a real sweetheart. I've been lucky with 2 very gentle cockerels. The one who was a git was very tasty

Raaaaylaay. Must have been destiny, then. Our last rooster got the axe in 1965. I seem to remember it took an age. At least, to a kindergartener. It attacked my aunts for the umpteenth time, and it was running about the yard frightening the hens and pecking at the dog. Dad heard the commotion(s) and gathered him up and had him at the block before he could say anything about it. Took all afternoon to cook him, though, and a bit of the evening. I contributed carrots and some onions and potatoes from the garden.
