After heavy overnight rain the day has been dry and mostly bright. Tomorrow we have a boat trip in the morning then its on the coach and off home.

I think the parameters for detecting cataracts have changed, because everyone I know who has had an eye test, including me, has been told the same thing.

I usually ignore the sales pitch and have new lenses in my existing frames if the prescription is different enough.

I'd say your spot on with that ..
