Well, no. I was more thinking water would be best

@hopless500, she had water too (provided by the pub - they are dog friendly), but left it alone and drank the 'beer instead!'
In fact, it was 0% beer, so was hopless (probably not really), a bit like your name!! :giggle:

We did have 3 for about 8 years. The older ones are no longer with us. This one is a bit of a "no pet". Advantages are, she doesn't want human food, so not interested in chicken, fish etc. and won't mither as you eat tea. She won't sit on your lap, hates being picked up. She will have a fuss so long as she wants it and you don't try and pick her up. Easy maintenance. The old two were different - one used to try and get at your soup. She loved tomatoe and any pasta.
I had a Tortie and White cat that loved Kidney beans, every time we had a Chilli she'd be there gently clawing at my leg. The only one now that does anything comical for food is Smokey, if she gets a bit of Ham or Chicken she runs off to eat it without any other cats near but while she's doing that she growls at everyone else.

Cloudy and dull but not actually raining, quite fortunate as I cycled to work again

Stuff needs doing, the wife has had to do some extra hours to cover holidays (despite her hours being cut). I'll get washing done and dried, but the bending to sort it out is beyond me. I get sore doing jobs, but I've always been fearsomely independent - that's my problem. I won't give up, but I get grumpy
18 months ago I was exactly the same. I'm hoping the return to it soon. My OH is useless at bike maintenance and I don't want another session like the one I have just had.

I may never get off crutches but I will get my life back and at least start walking up mountains again! It may just take me the rest of my life. I may just accept him carrying more kit than me in a rucksack now though, or panniers. Don't mind which!

One of my cats from many years ago was devoted to me. My wife said that she even resented me getting married by the looks she gave her. She had her own life and used to have 3 litters a year at times. She was a long furred dark tabby. My dad used to say that she used to hear my car from a long way off and would go and wait for me on a fence until I arrived. When I used to go over the fields with my friends she would follow us to the end of the field and wait there until I returned a couple of hours later. One of her favourite treats was for the both of us to sit on the stairs.
