I'd been expecting to spend the majority of my week off work waiting for a new oven to be delivered. It turned up first thing this morning (result). Let my gas man know it'd arrived, he came straight round and fitted it (double result). I now have the rest of my holiday to enjoy... and the sun is shining, and it doesn't feel at all chilly (triple result).

Can we have goats too, they make fab curry :hungry: and do a nice line in garden maintenance:whistle:

I keep trying to persuade the Hops to get a few for their estate, it's not working yet but if you all have a go i may be in luck:ph34r:
Oh and can you mention beehives to them as well:biggrin:

Heard good things of Zwift, some rather tough options on it too I think.

Impressed so far. I've come off it feeling like I've climbed a big hill. The 'worlds' are still being developed as there are just two, Watopia and Richmond, but it's enough to keep you busy, and chasing down a rider is always good. There are 'training programmes' on it, but so far I'm exploring. I liked it that much, I splashed out on a Smart trainer, having only used the 'dumb' trainer a couple of times. It works well with dumb trainers, but it's another level with smart ones, you really feel the road and you scrabble for gears.

Don't ever compare your times with others on Strava, as there are some cheats. Today, there was about 300 on the course, and someone had ridden to the top of the mountain in 21 minutes. Everyone else was double that !

Sat here knackered, the edging went in,eventually.Seven pieces of roll top edging, two foot by six inches.Setting it to run down on a slight slope, was to say a pig of a task. But i took my time, and had three goes before i was happy. They are set in postmix concrete, that was easy.Water the soil then pack the mixture in,it set in no time. Then planted five bushy type things. Then the hard bit dug the soil over again,it is a bed of clay.Leave for a week now, then break down, cover with bark, and wait for the next lot of plants to be bought.Feeling satisfied.

Some of them are crazy steep. I've pushed up a few recently.
I rode up one last year with @Hill Wimp. I didn't factor in the stopping effect of all the touring stuff I was carrying. I came to a dead halt (at least didn't drop the bike) but got lots of tuts from the locals who were riding behind me.
