My wife and I are having a lazy morning, she is checking the Torbay Airshow web site on her phone, Gwen is asleep on my lap , and I have been trying out the binocs I bought at the car boot sale yesterday, and all of this can be achieved from ones own bed. The wonders of modern technology!

I'm about to whip up smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for Mr R and I. He's just taken Jack for a walk.

I'll be right over.

The B&B we stay at in Aldeburgh does excellent eggs and smoked salmon, but she also scatters it with little cubes of crispy fried chorizo and drizzles the chorizo oil round the plate.... I'm salavating thinking about it.

I can remember a holiday a few years ago where my wife and I stayed in a cheap hotel for one night. They didn't do food so we went to a local supermarket that did for breakfast. We had a laugh when we saw the sign in the restaurant saying that scrambled egg was off as there was no one qualified to cook it.

A few years ago I went into the Little Chef in Bicester and ordered their famous Early Starter, the waitress informed me they had run out of eggs, "hmm" I said, " what shall I have instead?" She replied with out any hint of irony " an omelette?"
