An enjoyable social evening, last night, with some of the new Salford cycling club. ( I don't know how long I'll think about it as new, but it's less than 6 months since it became official). It was especially good to chat with the people who set it up and think about how far it's come, how it's evolved and what works etc.

Men are quite safe currently... I have instructions from well meaning friends... none of them are very complimentary if I think about it but I am doing as I am told, I seem to have a barrage of appointments for a variety of things to occur and also my most hated hated thing in the whole world I have to go shopping before I am unleashed properly on any menfolk....

The guys have finally finished the fencing that replaces what blew down in Storm Katie, so I can finally go out after a day and a half stuck at home

Storm Katie was a bit of a non event here.... But after all the chaos that storm Frank produced I can sympathise.... I've still to get the guttering fixed after the initial bodge job, but that is one of the jobs for spring.... I just need a run of dry weather to make sure everything is dry beforehand.

I should be hanging the last two doors, but having driven 250 miles this morning I am lacking in urge. A trip to M&S food hall seems like a viable alternative plan.

I saw seven eight week old black labrador puppies this afternoon, and did not bring one home with me.

Your will power is clearly stronger than mine, I would have taken all of them

Those black labrador puppies are, as I found out today, £550 each.

Never taken it off....though by summer I'll have the window wide open and just a sheet on the bed on the hottest nights! Don't know why I keep the winter 13 tog one!

They do take up a lot of cupboard space don't they.I find those large vaccum bags very useful for stuff like large duvets and such like.
