Scrambled egg on toast and a big bowl of fruit and yoghurt for brekkie here. What a glorious day, I feel so healthy today. The ears are still whistling though from last night. Just time for a shower then it's time to show the new car the motorway.

It's a good film as long as you don't expect it to accurately follow the book.

i should be alright on that score..i was told its very slow and boring..but i liked the Deer Hunter so i can stick with a film..

It's not really slow, unless you're expecting a war film in the style of Von Ryan's Express.

It's more of a story telling than just guns and Spitfires.

Well that's the dinner started, Leg of Lamb that was originally 'half price' at just short of £15 then reduced to just under a tenner as it was nearly out of date (sell by 25th) and they'd got some others in at the Co-op that were dated after Easter.
Popped it into the slow cooker with a couple of Carrots, a stick of Celery, couple of Onions, clove of Garlic and topped with half a dozen Anchovies (a Hugh Fearnly-Whathefeck tip) and some Sage (out of the garden) then a bottle of Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon.
It'll be ready at about 6 'O' clock (now is that 5 or 7 today) but will be driving Maz up the wall (with hunger) from about 3.

Tip- If anyone wonders about the Anchovies they just add a bit of saltiness and a certain 'piquancy' to the Lamb, they don't add any 'fishy' taste to the meat.
