A BBC sports commentator on the news just described a rugby league game as ''bombastic.'' If bombastic has anything to do with empty pomposity, which it did when I last checked, then I believe his choice of word is perfectly bombastic. Gawd knows what word he was looking for before he opened his mouth.
Thanks! We watched the video(well a dvd copy of it as old vids snap after too much use,and age))of the day. The church a few yards up the road from where we first and still live was demolished 5 years ago and about a quarter of those at the wedding are no longer with us,but apart from that it brought back happy memories!
