I got back into Coventry about 5pm, been out of the city since 7:30am working in Nuneaton.

When it was first announced we were getting a Tesco around the corner from us I was not impressed, we don't need one as we have a COOP. However I do find myself going in occasionally and I find that their staff are friendly and chatty. The COOP staff are friendly but it feels like a 'smile at the customer' kind of thing whereas the Tesco staff are 'morning, how are ya' just feels a bit more natural.

Once fell head first into a trailer full of sloppy pig sh*t.

Pitch fork stuck in a heavy load of the stuff and as I tried to yank it clear, my feet slid away from underneath me.

And the foulest stingiest kind produced by pigs kept in dark, dank conditions and feed on slops, before someone decided this wasn't a good idea!

And then I had to go straw carting in the afternoon wearing the same crud encrusted clothes and using the very same pitch-fork!

Got myself a different summer-time job the following year!

Fumes from that kills two people a year in the UK.
