Washing is on the line, the rosemary plant in the front garden has been cut right back, had a shower and now sitting on the sofa typing this. Pulled pork buttie for lunch then an afternoon of watching TDF, been a good one this year without Team Sky dominating. Fizz and chocolate at the ready

He would had I been awake  trouble is with this heat I am finding it hard to sleep but last night it all caught up with me and I slept soundly until about 8.

Me too. I've been up until 3am most nights for a while now. In bed by midnight last night and slept until 10.15 this morning.

We have been starting work at 7am and working a few Saturdays as well so this weekend we are having a break so would like to catch up on sleep, not that easy. Only 2 more working weeks then we are having a week off. We both need a break.

I am counting the days to my break. 1st proper break since '09. I finish work this coming Friday at lunch time and then I'm not back at work until Tuesday 12th August. One of my client's is rather miffed that I can't dogsit her hound on the 9th as she is off work that day for a wedding. It's OK for her to take a day's holiday but not me it seems. Hope she has a Plan B.

I always misread your name as Jonny Snot Rocket.
I had to go and look at @jonnysnorocket's username as I too thought it was Jonny Snot Rocket. I am now enlightened. Thank you for pointing that out to me, and no doubt, many others who thought the same

I have just established from observational data that cyclists on the other side of the street pedal clockwise but the nearside cyclists pedal anticlockwise (the reverse will be observed on the continent). This holds to be true when I'm on the other side of the street. Therefore I have irrefutable proof that 50% of cyclists pedal clockwise and 50% don't. This fact cannot clearly be established whilst observing your own cycling from the saddle.

I hope I've just saved someone some very mundane research work.
