My X reg (2000) Skoda Felicia went straight through it's MOT test this morning, no faults, no advisories.

My X reg (2000) Skoda Felicia went straight through it's MOT test this morning, no faults, no advisories.
No advisories always worries me! Advisories are not a bad thing, they are information for you. The following is a list of advisories that I always got with my alfa -
  • Engine cover present
  • Engine bay under tray present
  • Disc stone shields present
  • Exhaust head shields present
  • Second set of seat belts installed but not tested
  • Front/rear tyres showing approximately # & # mm of tread
  • Headlight pattern is slightly above mid-point
The first 4 are basically saying that the vehicle had covers which may prevent a full inspection of some components. Item 5 mentions that we had 4 point turn-buckle seat belts installed but as the OE ones are present they don't need to be tested. The final two items are general observations from the tester.
