I take it as a threat, as in "See this? it'll be your finger next if you're not careful!"

I have started to make my final preparations for the BHF Cotswolds Bike Ride on Sunday. I always do this ride with the same mate every year, and have given up hope of ever doing it in a decent time. (We took 6 hours to do 40 miles last year!). He won't have done any maintenance to his bike since last year, and he won't be wearing anything remotely like practical kit.

I spoke to him tonight, and he asked me how many miles I have put in so far this year. "Just short of 700" , I said. "Ah", he said. "How about you?", I asked. "23" he said. It's going to be a very long day. Oh well, plenty of nice pubs in the Cotswolds. Might as well enjoy a leasurely potter and a few bevvies. Cycling isn't always about setting PBs and overtaking people. Sometimes it's nice to just saunter around taking in the views. I should have plenty of time to take pictures for the "Your Ride Today" thread.

If anyone else is doing this one on Sunday, I'll be the massive bloke in the "Fat Lad at the Back" shirt .... at the back.
