Well, today I went and played indoor bowls (a group I'm involved with have set up a challenge with the staff of somewhere to stage a challenge), and that was the second training session I've been too. I am reasonable at it at the moment, and no doubt I will improve still.
I haven't played bowls in years, and being a Curler, I was a bit sniffy about it, but its actually quite good fun, even if its not as refined as Curling!!
I then went to a local charity shop and bought a book on German (I did it at school, so I at least have the rudimentaries to get started again).
I then went home, meeting quite the cutest, bounciest little 4 month old Staffie Pup on the way, and had a cup of tea.
I then went out once more to pick up some parcels, and whist there I visited another charity shop and bought some old past papers on Chemistry and Biology for when I get back to college again. Unfortunately I didn't have enough money for all of them (don't ask), so I left two of them and went home.
I then got the money and went back down, but the shop was shut by the time I got back, so I said hello to a beautiful white Alsatian that was tied up waiting for its owner to come out of a nearby shop instead.
I also observed a woman buying and trying to ride away a pink ladies bike from the Cash Converter place just as I arrived, except that she didn't get too far with riding it, the saddle was too low, etc. I would have helped her, but she seemed to be aware of it, and besides, I couldn't have done much anyway seeing as I didn't have any tools with me.
So, I then wandered along to Asda, or to be more exact, Marks, and bought some Smoked Salmon for tea, along with some beer (Black IPA, a contradiction in terms, I know). I then visited
Halfords in the hope the woman with the bike visited, so I could take a closer look at what she'd bought, but she didn't turn up, but I did see one or two bikes I liked instead!!
That is all
