that was a disappointing event wasn't it. Got lost with about 150+ other people 3 miles from the start! And again several times. Some really muddy farm lanes too which have destroyed some of my cycling kit!

The muddy lanes are near me (pub ride home) but they weren't so muddy when they planned the event - the beet lorries have been out since. My derailleurs weren't happy with all the grit and stuff but I guess the rain washed most of it out eventually. I got lost further on but between Strava (for where I was) and the map I'd printed off (for where I was supposed to be), I got back on track. Only added about a mile or so onto the total.
