I recently put mudguards on omy old MTB commuter. The worst part as cutting down the stays to the right length. The bike had plenty of mudguard clearance and the appropriate braze-ons, all except there was nowhere to attach the bracket that suspends the rear mudguards were they pass through the seat stay. Some very inventive work was done using cable ties and old inner tube.
Cyclenic, if you could let us have the model of the bike, we can best advise you on what guards will fit and where to obtain them cheapest. Also, on whether you will have any trouble fitting them.
