I suffer a similar problem as I have a wide cranium - By the time they're wide enough, they're massive. I was trying Kask lids on at the bike show yesterday and found them to be (almost irrespective of model) to be very comfy and looked like I was 'in' rather than them being 'on' if you follow.
I have the same issue, I think the decathlon helmet fitted me pretty week but I haven't tried a Kask yet. Must have a look on the chain reaction website.
I recently bought the 'half-price' Kask Mojito from Rutland.......
I can vouch for the fact that it is unbelievably light....probably about the most compact and stylishly 'unmushroomy' helmet around at the moment (this may not matter to you?) but is it MORE comfortable than my other one? ( an entry-level Spesh Align)...sadly no.
I think that helmets are absolutely a 'try-before-you-buy' item. My new Kask is far from being unwearable-but I've learned that Specialized helmets seem to fit my head-shape better. The Align is a bulkier 'one size fits all' job and not terribly 'racer'-but it fits very snuggly. I'm glad I didn't pay full whack for the Kask...but I do like its design and quality.
