The roval wheels are great IMHO, they come with ceramic bearings and stop very well.

One of the things I like about specialized is you have trained experts in the products available in the concept stores, who have great relationships with specialized.. When I order my bikes I get a specific crank length and specific bearings.. .... Ask your local dedicated Felt specialist (do they have dedicated dealers?) If they can provide specific length cranks and ask them what training they have been offered by Felt?

When people talk about getting a saddle that fits, they talk about the specialized arseometer which measures sit bones.
When people talk about bike fit they mention BG Fit and Retul which are both owned by Specialized... What is felts bike fit system called again?

The Felt will undoubtably be a better specification, but I doubt it will have a better frame than the roubaix which has a frame which has now reached legendary status. I also require support and expertise for my products and for that no mass market bike company comes close to specialized.

How much that is worth is up to you.

 I guess that the Roubaix is the one i want, its the one that gets my heart going and as its got to last for many years its probably the best way to go. Mrs Aud says get the spesh as its the one ive been on about for a few years.

Thanks for your input.

I use the Ruslip store in West London or the Sigma Sports store in Kingston in general but have been known to tread foot into the Convent Garden store.. The training and knowledge in all the stores are great and specialized inspect them to ensure they are up to standard.

The roubaix is and incredible bike, the ride quality, comfort, handling, performance its a bike that's hard to say anything bad about, forget specs, money and things like that... its a bike that's easy to adore.

I challenge you to find a Roubaix owner who wishes they brought something else instead.

Ruislip Concept store and after the mechanic i trusted and used at my local lbs left I'm happy to travel out of my way to go there. The mechanic there knows his shoot and as I found out today was happy to show me what to do to fix my bike instead of just taking the cash.

Any experience of the Newbury store.

I have the choice of either Plymouth or Newbury. Visited Newbury yesterday and very pleased with them, just the small issue of a group of boulders in Wiltshire to get past making the return trip over 3 hours grrrrrrrrrrrr.

Unless anyone has had bad experience of Newbury i guess i will use them.

I haven't no sorry even though its in my county it's proper mileage from me  I'm sure Mr H is more educated than me but I seem to remember him saying that Spesh are quite picky about who they turn into Concept Stores not just regular stockists like. So I wouldn't of thought you could go wrong with any of the Concept ones. I may be wrong though.

Just get the Roubaix Pete it's as sexy as Kelly Brook with a can of whipped cream ;)

Well thats sold it to me then

Actually just discussing Dealers with Mrs Aud and i said i would prefer to use the Newbury store and not our localish regular dealer (whom i have used in the past but they can be hit and miss)

Going to sleep on it but pretty much 100% going to go for the roubaix. I am going to Email the store and if they require a deposit etc i can do this. I need to have a play as i am between sizes 56 and 58 (i am 6 foot tall) the 56 felt small, the 58 too big!!

They are due in around mid Sept so i am aiming if poss of having it for the Glastonbury 50 at the end of September.

I'm 5ft 11 with a 31" leg I have short legs but a long body I have the 56 but had to have a 90 mm stem as I had an elbow issue. I've now got comfortable after an expensive bike fit but now I'm settled I'm getting the most from my bike and love it to bits

As Mr H said I'd be inclined to whack down the £25 and try them out as you don't want to be making expensive mistakes  I'm sure they will accommodate you with swapping stems etc to make sure your comfy.

Had already discussed that option with them. I am in no real hurry so when they get some in i will go along and try / play.
