Movement in rear cassette

Just cleaned my bike ready for a club ride tomorrow and noticed that when I was cleaning the rear cassette that there was som movement (rotational) in a number of the smaller gears (cogs?) Its an ultegra set and Ive never noticed this before is this normal?

Check the lock nut is tight - i.e. no physical movement.

You will get some 'visual' movement - don't forget these sprockets have cut outs so will appear to move....

Take a close look at them.

If it affects gear change or running performance, then replace.
