It does, I was buying between 4-6 tubes a month and to pick them up was putting me off cycling with that constant nagging fear. I would like to try the Conti gator in future as well.

It really hit home how bad the route was when I picked up 4 punctures in one go - all glass, middle of the road and middle of week, so should've really been cleared up some after the weekend. The only problem is that this is the one part of the route I can't cut out
Ooh, I looked at the Gator tyres too, they look fun(ny)! I will now definitely pop into the bike place on the way home tonight to have a chat.

I invested in Marathon Plus tyres, and these have done very well for me.

I did look at those... but had trouble finding anywhere that showed they would be able to supply them in a size that'd fit (granted this research was started at 6:30 this morning)

Don't be put off by them being from Germany, shipping costs are about a fiver and their prices are really good, ive ordered quite a few things from them as have others on here

I've had a lot of puncture free hours on Michelin Pilot City tires, and price wise they are reasonable.

For commuting they are great I think, kind of heavy though. I'm back on gatorskins ATM.
