Why should they? If you read IPSO's Editor's code they do not have any remit to address editors publishing material unless it is:-
1. Inaccurate.
2. Has involved invasion of privacy
3. Has involved a reported harrassing individuals to get the story
4. Has intruded into an individuals grief or shock
5. Involves reporting suicide
6. Involves reporting about children under 16
7. Involves reporting about children in sex cases.
8. Involves reporting from hospitals where the reporter has not gone through the proper channels
9. Involves reporting about children involved in crime or the relatives of a criminal
10. Involves using bugging techniques or honey traps unless in the public interest
11. Identifying victims of sexual assault
12. Discriminates on grouns of race, colour, religion, sex, gender idenitity, sexual orientation, mental illness or disability
13. Use journalism for financial gain when writing about finance.
14. Involves naming confidential surces
15. Paying of witnesses in criminal trials
16. Paying criminals
They don't cover publishing articles that endanger public safety or incite violence (unless it is on the grounds of discrimination). The Police cover those things.
