Well it can't have come from Merlin like that, they know a bit about bikes. I have just sent him a message asking "What's wrong with the forks?"

I wonder if anyone deliberately sets up their bike that way to do 'stunts'? Has anyone tried? Depending on the interaction between fork rake and fork offset, it may still be just rideable.

I spotted a girl riding an ASDA bike with the fork back to front in Lancaster. Chaesd after her and put it right for her; she told me her boyfriend had built it for her.

Quite possibly he used the ASDA picture of the bike as a guide.....or copied the display model in the shop.

Went for £280 eventually and he said he'd turn round the forks FOC if the buyer didn't know how to 'ammend', which seems awfully good of him !

these wheels have been over inflated,and have a slight buldge on both front and rear rims,so when braking hard give a juddering effect.

They are alu rims with a carbon fairing, and they've been overinflated so much that the alu rim is 'buldged' out ?

Hmmm...

And you don't get the cassette or tyres either. All you are bidding for are some cream crackered rims, some maybe alright hubs, some spare tubes and a few spare spokes. (Gone up to £165 from 99p so far).
Good deal? Happy bidding .

I like the way the Merlin is being sold as 'rarely used'; the amount of shoe rub on the cranks would lead me to think it had been ridden quite a lot.
