Money isnt always everything

Listed and sold one of my bikes on ebay and through not putting a reserve on it i got quite a bit less for it.

As the winning bidder got a serious bargain he was onto me straight away wanting travel arrangements as he was coming by train.As he was only 20 miles away i bit my lip and delivered it for him.

Anyway

A cycle enthusiast was an understament..guy in his 70s who cycles everywhere and just wanted a ' special' bike to go out with his elderly friends on a weekend....a lovely bloke with a wealth of knowledge and stories....it was probably one of the best sales ive ever had.

Thanks it kind of brought me down to earth as to why we all share the same hobby...jump on...relieve any stresses and just enjoy the ride.....the topic of how much does it weigh and what do you wear never cropped up

That reminds me, when I die my daughter will end up having to get rid of my instruments and bikes. I should tell her that I'd rather they went to anybody who's got the bug but not the bucks than to someone who's only got the bucks.
