Kasia Nieuwiadoma won the gravel World Champs. She's my very favourite rider, she's not won for years despite fighting harder than anyone in the peloton and she finally won today AND won rainbow stripes. Giddy with delight for her.

AND FURIOUS THAT THE WOMEN'S WC WERE NOT TELEVISED!!!!

Meanwhile in Lombardy, Pog's ridden away on the final categorised climb, but now his gears are playing up. Rog group +40ish, Remco group +80ish. Hirschi inexplicably rode into the back of Remco, crashing only himself.

That was a strange one. Pog attacked on the last climb with Vlasov and the rest covering the move without too much trouble and then let him get away on the descent. Despite his cramp they let him increase his lead. Nobody remembers who came 2nd and 3rd in these races so it always surprises me that the chasers don't co-operate.
Hey ho, pleased for Pog - he never gives less than 100%

No, not much. And honestly, I’ve never been fussed about it. But many of my favourite riders lined up today and I was keen to watch it, only to find that whilst they men’s race is televised tomorrow, the women’s wasn’t today! Huh.

Some Strade Bianche copy event was won by a road cyclist - hard to get excited personally although I like Mohoric a lot.
And Timmy P, who I also like, won the Canada mtb race.
Both events lack nuance and tactics apart from going as fast as you can for a long as you can.
