It does take a while till your body adapts and learns to burn fat for fuel I reckon, once it's worked that out you're away!

Chris, can you post your typical days diet, as your weight loss has been pretty fantastic. Are you lighter on carbs on non cycling days and so on?

No idea about the carb composition of my diet. All I can tell you is that I eat about 2000-2500 cals a day and ride 75-100 miles a week at a hard lick. Really I'm just eating a bit less of the same stuff that I used to eat and riding a lot. Beer and whisky are still included...

You just answered the question I was about to ask :smile:

I have recently got back on the bike after a few years off. I think what pushed me to get back on the saddle was when I was getting ready for a wedding, the same trousers I wore the year before were that bit tighter :smile: I knew I had to do something. Ive been 12 stone for years now and have lost about 3 lbs, will be happy at 11 stone I think. I enjoy a beer at the weekend and contemplated giving it up but a cold Coors is just too damn nice :biggrin:
