Best edition I’ve watched. Ganna battled hard, Pog a bit off his best maybe.

Yes was super exciting. Respect to MvdP for keeping with Pog and Ganna for catching back up. I got the sense by the end that Pogacar had admitted defeat and knew he couldn't out sprint either of the two.

There are few riders in the world who can follow Pog up a climb (x2) so MvdP deserves it for me anyway.

I was watching it on RTBF , french belgium tv. The commentary is ace and jolly...."la troisième attaque, alors!"

Dillier has been sat on the front for 160km but no-one is willing to sit on his wheel anymore 😂
The man earnt that win bonus

Best edition I've seen. Interesting tha MvdP went long in the sprint to get the surprise edge, both Ganna and Pog were wanting to go long to blunt his acceleration, though I don't think they'd kept the speed high enough to really make it work.
Massive grinta award to Pippo for coming back again and again like terminator
Missing in action award to Mads P, who maybe just didn't have the legs today. It was noticeable that he came into the Cipressa way too far back, while MvdP and Ganna were right on Wellens wheel from the off. Still got into the top ten alongside compatriot Cort though

What a day! I’m exhausted just watching it! Both races had me on the edge of my sofa! I was gutted for Longo Borghini, who I really wanted to win it! I don’t warm to Wiebes but my word she is remarkable! And Noemi Ruegg is having the most incredible season, I’m just in awe of her progress!

And the men? Oh my word! What a final 10k (after such a long day). Again, disappointed for Ganna but chapeau to MVDP!

Didn't get to watch from 2.15 pm on  Sounds like I missed a cracker. Fair play to Pog giving it his all, to Ganna for keeping on coming back, and MMvdP adding another monument.

Don't think so. I think Pog was at his best and MvdP as well. The Cipressa is much too shallow. The Poggio is just too short and not steep enough. If the Poggio had been 1 km longer Pog may have dropped MvdP. MSR is the one race that is just not suited that well to Pogacar compared to all the other races (outside of maybe Roubaix) and other top riders.

Kopecky's positioning in the final was terrible. I think she wanted to make Vos potentially do some work and didn't want to bridge the gap to the Wiebes group. Didn't matter in the end, but her job after the descent of the Poggio or even at the top of the Poggio was the same as MvdP last year.
Where MvdP was right there to close absolutely everything down for Philipsen, Kopecky was much too far back to react to Longo Borghini and while she did a great pull to close the gap, tactically speaking it was much too close for comfort. She made it needlessly hard on herself and SD Worx can consider themselves quite lucky.
Both SD Worx as well as Visma had representation in the first group, so Vos doesn't have to work, but Kopecky has the best sprinter in the race, who was in the first group. She loses nothing by closing the gap and pulling everyone else to group one, because Wiebes will win any bunch sprint anyway; regardless of Vos being there or not.
