The older I get, the faster I used to be ...
Surely it goes without being said that the performance advantage of a talced tube over an untalced tube does not feature very highly on the great list of things which allow cyclists to go faster.

- perhaps not quite as high as carbon fibre bottle cages, but add the two together .... wheeeeee!

It would be interesting to know which delivers the greatest performance advantage, a titanium water bottle cage bolt or a talced tube?

To those with common sense yes, but there are lots of cyclist out there that think all sorts of daft things will make up for them not being very good at cycling, lol.

I just carry on not being very good, it works well!

I find if I set my standards low I am not disapointed

Negligible is right - but many negligibles make a not negligible. It's not the flexing of the tube by the way but the rubbing against the tyre - which is capable of generating enough friction to wear through it.
But but but what about the additional few milligrams of weight? And it's rotating mass, so it will feel like 10's of milligrams OMG!

There are negligible negligibles. There are unnegligible negligibles. But then there are also unnegligible unnegligibles.

And then there's negligee.
